smashed it!

hey everyone well thats it for our trip around OZ it was pretty dam insane and i would seriously recommend it, it took us a little over 3 months and is pretty epic way to spend winter. if you are planning the trip make sure you carry plenty of spares, take heaps of water, have the guns loaded and easy to access for when the pigs are on the road. dont forget to put the beers in the fridge at the start of the day and buy heaps of tackle for when you reach exmouth!! hopefully we will have a website up soon of some cool shit we are doing on the south coast
thanks for checking us out

  1. Hi guys,

I loved following your trip around the top end and you've given me ideas & inspiration to continue doing the same.

I'm interested in knowing a little about your video rig - I'm guessing it's a GoPro. Did you use the GoPro tripod mount to attach it to a monopod? If so, I don't understand how in some of the fishing videos, you're able to use it up one way above the water and then stick it under the water and it appears the clip hasn't switched upside down. Did you need to edit the video footage for this?

It would be good to see a blog entry "post-trip" to see how you cope adjusting back into "normal" life/jobs, if you've had to do this!

  2. hey scott stoked you liked the blog! how did you find us??
yep the camera we used the whole time was a go pro hd and we had a bunch of different mounts and i think the one you were after was a pole mount. or handle mount and we had it on the end of a pole with a few swivel conections and twisted how we liked that way. and yes we edited all the movies on our mac's. but we aree working on a new website soon we just bought a new boat and will have some stuff up soon. thansk for the email mitch and riley

  3. Found your Vyrilia Point video on YouTube when researching for my last trip away. From there I found your blog and have followed it since (plus sent to all my mates).

Thanks for the info on the GoPro - I'm going to order one in the next week or so and look forward to making some great videos like yours. I've got a few of my last trips up here -
